Join Matt Shannon for a 2-hour hands-on workshop exploring the power of camera filters to transform your photography. This session will cover:
- Polarizing filters: Reduce reflections, enhance sky colours, bring out rich tones in foliage and water, and are essential for Landscape and commercial photographers.
- Neutral Density (ND) filters: Extend exposure times for dramatic long exposures, smoothing water, creating streaking clouds, and achieving creative motion effects; even up to multi-minute exposures
- Practical tips on stacking filters, exposure adjustments, and choosing the right filter for any scene
Weather permitting, we’ll take a short walk to Kuirau Park, just 10 minutes from the hotel, to experiment in the field. Capture reflective water, steaming thermal pools, vibrant autumn leaves, and moving clouds, applying filter techniques in real-world scenarios.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll understand how to use filters creatively to elevate your landscape, nature, and vehicle photography, adding depth, mood, and a professional polish to your images.
