Much as I have always enjoyed taking photos, I am a relative newcomer to the craft of Photography.  What I enjoy is story-telling. For me, images add context and colour to a story, and conversely, a story can bring context and meaning to an image.

In 2025 I seized an opportunity to visit the Antarctic Peninsula and was captivated by the raw beauty and feel of the place. It’s a story I love to tell, and I have often been asked to do so.

My home is in Rotorua, where I established a career in software engineering within the forestry industry. Following my Antarctic adventure, I promoted myself to semi-retired and am now keen to invest time into learning and practising the craft of photography.
