Opened in 2020, the Nelson Classic Car Museum has amassed one of new Zealand’s finest collection of 150 immaculately restored vintage cars. The cars are displayed in 2 large buildings surrounded by other period exhibits including an old gas station, Coronation Street’s Rovers Return and an old Soda Shop.  The enormous range of cars displayed create a wonderful opportunity for creative photography because of the vibrant colours, shapes and angles. It is a macro photographer’s dream scenario.

The museum has an excellent café and museum shop.
